Rooted in Tradition, Growing with Technology

A century of innovation in agriculture, now extended into software, hardware, and open source. Welcome to wedgworth.dev where we will be posting highlights of what we are building.

We were born out of innovation in 1932, when Herman Wedgworth left his plant pathology lab to help growers get the nutrition their crops needed. After his passing, Ruth Wedgworth pushed that mission forward. Ten decades later, we're still building on that legacy–innovating and doing what's best for the grower.

Today, we're kicking off wedgworth.dev: a space to dive into the technical guts of what we're building–custom software and hardware solutions that:

  • give our crop advisors tools for formulating precision blends
  • provide world-class inventory tracking to minimize shrink and improve purchasing
  • deliver exacting controls over the blending processes for the highest quality in the industry
  • and much more

Here, you can expect posts on wrangling complex problems with Django and Python, crafting great UI/UX with Vue, leveraging GraphQL for efficient data flows, and giving back through open source.

Whether it's a conceptual deep dive on system integrations that helps growers get the right nutrients faster, or code snippets from our custom ERP build, the goals are simple: share what we're building, spark conversations, and learn from each other.

Stick around. We've got a lot brewing.
